ESCALADOS

GEREINT
Escalados: Hello, Gereint. It's been a long time. Are you a better fighter now?

Gereint: Master Escalados? Why are you with Zemekis?

Escalados: You may not understand this, but... I needed an answer. What kind of meaning did the sword have in my life? for what purpose did I attain the title of Master? That night, when I killed a man, I was carried away by impulse. I saw the answer in the screams and blood that surrounded me. This is why I decided to support Zemekis. My desires can only be attained through my contribution of the way. When I find the answer during the way, my sword will reach its peak.

Gereint: You know that there is no answer to what you are searching for. Please come to your senses. I don't want to fight you.

Escalados: Did you say you don't want to fight me? Don't lie to me, Gereint. I know your sword is trembling with joy for an opportunity to fight your master. Come on, Gereint. Defeat me for what you believe in. Be a better swordsman than me!

Gereint: This is not the way I wanted to fight you. However, I must kill you to show my loyalty and return gratitude to my lord.

Musing: You ever notice how many times Knights banter back and forth about killing one another? Yet nobody ever dies...except for the monsters. So these knights are getting all serious and dramatic about their own skins, but who are the ones dying? Something to think about...
