Gish: What in the world is going on? Why are you creeping around like some mongrel?

Ivan: Oh, why must you involve me in this?

Gish: Quit your whimpering and tell me what's going on.

Ivan: That man is here to see you.

Gish: You don't mean?

Gish's face contorts with anger

Gish: Take me to him! Now!

Their path trails down rarely used hallways of Logres castle, to a forgotten underground river. At the dilapidated dock a boat is moored, and next to that awaits a sole Knight.

Gish: You!

Daffy: I'm here for my money.

Gish: I told you it would be yours in time.

Daffy: You also told me you would contact me. I got tired of waiting.

Gish: I can't give you your reward now.

Daffy: Huh?

Gish: Not now, of course not now. After the war. After�cthings are different. Have patience.

Daffy: Patience? Can I fill my purse with patience!?

Gish: Don't raise your voice to me! I could fry the skin from your bones where you stand!

As if not to get caught in a blast radius, Ivan makes for the relative safety of the passageway.

Daffy is visibly deflated.

Daffy: A dead man can't spend the reward he earned selling out his own king. But neither will I work for free.

Gish: Fine. I will have two Knights loyal only to me escort you to Asten. There those forces of Esgares under my command await the offensive on Leonia. Join them.

Daffy: And what of my reward?

Gish: Leonia is a rich country. Take of its coffers what you will. I'll see to it my men will pay no attention.

Daffy: Now that sounds like a deal.
