Zerafin: Oh, it's you Kirkmond.

Kirkmond: You shouldn't drink alone... would you mind if I joined you?

Zerafin: Of course not. Please sit down.

Kirkmond: Thank you. So, how are things going?

Zerafin: Well...

Kirkmond: You don't look so good. Is there something wrong.

Zerafin: Not really. I just feel lonely. I feel like King Vaynard doesn't need me anymore. It hurts to think that it doesn't make any difference if I'm here or not...

Kirkmond: That's pretty depressing.

Zerafin: You must think I'm pitiful, huh?

Kirkmond: Not at all, I completely understand how you feel. I'm in the same situation as you. However, I don't agree with you that it makes no difference whether we're here or not. No matter how big a tree is, it still needs support from its roots. I think we are the roots. King Vaynard is a great Lord, but he can't fight the batles alone. He needs us for support.

Zerafin: And the tree will eventually die if it loses its roots, right?

Kirkmond: Exactly... Our names may not be written in history, but so what? I would rather become an unknown hero than a notorious criminal.

Zerafin: Here is a toast for King Vaynard!

NOTE: Whether you have been using either of them in battles or not is of no consequence to this dialogue. So, even if you use Kirkmond a lot, he still gets whiny near this point. However, it is especially funny if you haven't used him much in the game, and it's like the game's bitching at you...
