Wounded Line: "There is no benefit in fighting anymore.  Let's retreat."
Notes: Lyonesse wasn't exactly enthralled at being chosen by an oracle to be Queen, but for certian she has the fortitude to live up to the responsibility.  Though constantly busy, she does occasionally allow herself time to be a young woman. 

 
PATERNUS

Age: 42
Starts as: LVL 20 Cardinal
Has battle quips with: Dryst
Wounded Line: "God is the only one who wins every time"
Notes: Paternus sees himself as a father figure for Lyonesse. His high level and starting RP makes him a valuable Knight for Leonia's success.

 
ASMIT

Age: 29
Starts as: LVL 13 Bishop
Has battle quips with:
Wounded Line: "Queen Lyonesse, I'm sorry, but I wasn't able to contribute."
Notes: Smarter and more suave than Kiloph, Asmit provides a lot of frustration for the youger man.  Kiloph sees Asmit as a rival for the heart of Lyonesse.

 
KILOPH

Age: 17
Starts as: Level 3 Barbarian
Has battle quips with: Zemekis, Camden, 
Wounded Line: "Damn!  I guess this is all I can do this time.  Consider yourself lucky!"
Notes: Like Lyonesse, he starts out pretty weak.  In fact, sometimes I don't even use him that much in battle.  On the other hand, he starts off with just over 200 RP, which is useful

 
FILO

Age: 18
Starts as: LVL 7 Cleric
Has battle quips with:
Wounded Line: "I'm sorry, everybody..."
Notes: Best friends with Sophia, and with her a former desciple of some guy called "Master Solon."  We don't know who he is, except that he studeis a lot.  There is a dialogue between Filo and Sophia which seems like it could have led to a Knight Quest - but it does not.

 
SOPHIA

Age: 18
Starts as: LVL 7 Cleric
Has battle quips with:
Wounded Line: "I'm sorry...My Lord..."
Notes: Best friends with Filo, and with her a former desciple of some guy called "Master Solon."  We don't know who he is, except that he studeis a lot.  There is a dialogue between Filo and Sophia which seems like it could have led to a Knight Quest - but it does not.

 
CHANTAIL

Age: 28
Starts as: LVL 6 Mage
Has battle quips with:
Wounded Line: "I can't face my son now..."
Notes: I laways like to have a Mage or Enchantress in my country.  His RP is kinda low, however (168)

 
LANGEBORG

Age: 21
Starts as: LVL 10 Knight
Has battle quips with: Cai, 
Wounded Line: "I can't continue fighting anymore.  There is something I need to take care of.  Consider yourself lucky!  See you."
Notes: A useless, annoying character.  Sometimes I like to send him to batle by himself, with no monsters, against people like Cador...

 
ISFAS

Age: 27
Starts as: LVL 16 Monk
Has battle quips with: Vaynard, 
Wounded Line: "I guess I didn't have enough training..."
Notes: With a high RP (233) and at level 16, Isfas is a highly useful character.  He's only 4 levels from being able to change classes to Guardian, a class far more interesting than Monk.

 
CHARLENE

Age: 28
Starts as: LVL 12 Lancer
Has battle quips with: Guinglain
Wounded Line: "I guess I was wrong"
Notes: Called "The Ice Queen of Leonia".  

 
RAIZEN

Age: 26
Starts as: LVL 11 Monk
Has battle quips with: Zemekis
Wounded Line: "I praise you for an excellent battle.  That's the way a battle is supposed to be fought."
Notes: For me, Monk class = Boring.  But that's just me.  

 
BALEEN

Age: 18
Starts as: LVL 1 Scout
Has battle quips with:
Wounded Line: "I made a mistake...I'm sorry, Kiloph."
Notes: I'm not partial to blondes, but I do like Archers, so I often wind up using Baleen in battle.  Leveling her up is kind of a pain, though.  Seh has a major subplot with Kiloph and Galonwand, so make sure you periodically leave her in the same castle as those two.

In real life, Baleen is a type of whale.

 
GALONWAND

Age: 17
Starts as: LVL 2 Barbarian
Has battle quips with:
Wounded Line: "Baleen will never look at me if I'm like this."
Notes: Leonia has its share of weak low level characters.  Galonwand is one of the least interesting.  As far as Barbarians are concerned, you're just as well off leveling up Kiloph.
