CAI Age: 25

Starts as: Level 22 Warlock Has battle quips with: Vaynard, Bagdemagus, Langueborg,  Wounded Line: "There's nothing more we can do.  We have to retreat." Notes: Cai is just about the mellowest guy you'll ever have as a main chara.  Don't let his lazy demeanor fool you - he's badass on the battlefield.  Caerleon is known across Forsena as "The Magic Kingdom."  This leads me to wonder...Is Cai really Mickey Mouse?

 

BEAUARTE Age: 53

Starts as: LVL 12 Bishop Has battle quips with: Wounded Line: "I can't believe this...  It looks like I was wrong..." Notes: BeauArte has worked for the Caerleon royal family since the time of the last king.  He acts (or tries to act) as a surrogate father figure to Cai and Merriot.  Also, he's carrying a secret that will shake the foundations of Cai's kingdom.

BILCOCK Age: 21

Starts as: LVL 5 Priest Has battle quips with: Wounded Line: "I said I wasn't fit for physical labor..." Notes: I often use Bilcock as a Questing Knight.  Though one of the few healers in Caerleon, I've never found him that useful.  Keep him in whichever castle Cai is for a couple funny story sequences.

CIERRA Age: 30

Starts as: Level 15 Sorceress Has battle quips with: Victoria Wounded Line: "With the way I'm defeated, how am I going to face my lord?" Notes: Because of her crush on Cai, the dialogue between Cierra and Merriot is just plain comedy.  You can imagine bystanders whispering "Cat fight, cat fight" to each other...  Items: Begins the game equipped with an Earring of the Sea (DEF+2, Blue resist: Up)

DINADAN Age: 27

Starts as: LVL 25 Paladin Has battle quips with: Cador, Layoneil, Escalados, Vaynard, Dryst? Wounded Line: "I guess there are stronger guys out there..." Notes: Possibly one of the most powerful starting Knights in Brig.  Hands down the most talkative Caerleon knight on the battlefield.

ELOUTE Age: 21

Starts as: LVL 9 Fighter Has battle quips with: Gush and Lecarra Wounded Line: "I'm going to disappoint Millia" Notes: Eloute lives in Norgard, and grew up in harsh rural conditions.  He hates palace life, which is probably why he never became a Knight for Norgard.  He begins at "expert!" level, which can be kind of handy.

GUSH Age: 23 Male

Starts as: LVL 11 Monk Has battle quips with: Eloute and Lecarra Wounded Line: "I guess I was too lazy" Notes: Having studied the martial arts for several years, he apparently knows - and is a rival of - Shast.  I can't even say this guys name without laughing.  Actually, if you have a girlfriend/boyfriend who also plays Brig, names like Gush and Fiel take on a new shared in-joke between the two of you...

JANFADAR Age: 41 Male

Starts as: LVL 12 Druid Has battle quips with: Gish Wounded Line: (With his name spelled Janfader) "You were excellent..." Notes: Another guy I like to level up, because Druids kick ass.  Janfadar's name is sometimes translated as Janfader (e.g., when he says his wounded line.) Items Starts game equipped with Ancient Book (INT+6)

LECARRA Age: 25 Female

Starts as: LVL 16 Mystic Has battle quips with: Gush and Eloute Wounded Line: "I'm defeated..." Notes: Okay, let's face the facts...I have a weakness for redheads.  Plus she starts at level 16 and "expert!".  First met Millia while earning a living as a fortune teller in Logres before the war.

MERRIOT Age: 16

Starts as: LVL 3 scout Has battle quips with: Ulster Langeuborg Wounded Line: "This is a strategic retreat.  We are not giving up!" Notes: She's described on one Brig fan's page as an "annoying little gnat of a sister" Items: Starts game equipped with Elven bow (ATK+6, Hit+5)

MILLIA Age: 19

Starts as: Level 5 Enchantress Has battle quips with: Wounded Line: "This battle wasn't as easy as I thought" Notes: One day Merriot was visiting Millia's home town under the guise of anonymity.  The two met and became quick friends, though at first Millia didn't know who Merriot was.  Her great love is painting, and only became a knight because Caerleon - or more specifically, Merriot - was in need.

SHAST Age: 23

Starts as: LVL 11 Grappler. Has battle quips with: Wounded Line: "No way!" Notes: I'm not partial to the Grappler class in Brig.  On the other hand - at least in the beginning - he's a useful and powerful tool.  Hey, you can't argue with the stats (HP 601, ATK 231)
